Day 63
Yesterday was a full moon, and it definitely felt like it. I didn't crack or break down or anything, but I was feeling the pull of the dark side, and... I even went out to a bar at 1:00 a.m. and had a beer. A strange day all around.
It's 11:05 a.m. now, and I went to bed at 4:15 a.m., and wasn't tired at all when I went to sleep. Strange strange strange.
The day started with breakfast with a friend. I chose the "muscle bound scramble" from the menu of many evils. Egg whites, spinach, and little nubs of turkey maple sausage. It was decent, but sort of didn't agree with my stomach. I didn't really have any lunch, except for a couple of nibbles of things at my boss's son's birthday party. And for dinner, I re-upp'd the orange chicken from Wokcano.
I'm sort of glad that I got the orange chicken again, because now I'm pretty sure it's out of my system. It was heavier and sweeter than I remember it from earlier this week. So, I think my cravings for it are over and done with for a while anyway.
But from the time I was done with dinner until 4:15 a.m., I felt restless. It sounds so stupid, but I was fantasizing about Rice Krispie treats. So odd. I paced around my apartment a bit like a caged animal, then finally decided at 1:00 a.m. to go to a local bar and drink a beer. I'm not normally a drinker, but this helped to calm my nerves a bit. But back at home, I just surfed the web for another 3 hours or so.
Anyway, that was the day. My head's feeling a bit better screwed on right now, so hopefully this day will go according to plan.
So, just the facts:
Day 62 food:
Muscle-bound scramble (egg whites, spinach, turkey maple sausage, about 1/4 order)
Water
Tortilla chips (2 of 'em)
Watermelon (about 6 slices)
Vanilla birthday cake (2 bites)
Water
Orange chicken (4/5 order)
Rice (a full pint)
Steamed dumplings (2 of 'em)
Water
Day 62 exercise: 3 1/2 long walks, 20 minute yoga workout, 30 crunches
Daily weight: 237 lbs. (down 50)
So that was the day. Nothing specifically planned today, though I do have to do laundry, clean my apartment, do some grocery shopping, exercise a bit, and perhaps see a movie at some point.
Thanks for reading!
