Day 12
As predicted, yesterday wasn't that difficult a day.
That said, the day lacked originality. I'm an nervous that I'm boxing myself in again, and will need to branch out my eating. There is a fear that eating something that will have ramifications the next day when I weigh myself, so I'm sticking to salads a bit too much. Basically, I had two Caesar salads in one day. Both were delicious, actually, so I'm not complaining, but I think I do need to try something new every now and then.
I had therapy yesterday morning. In addition to this blog keeping me honest, seeing him once a week has been very helpful in this process. He's been very supportive of my activities, while also keeping me focused on taking care of myself, and keeping positive (I'm not trying to lose weight, I'm trying to live healthier).
A friend came over last night and remarked on the chocolate bar that I got for helping a neighbor. He was impressed that I hadn't yet eaten it. I told him to take it and give it to his father, which he did. So I lasted a week with a big Hershey's bar in the house and never ate it!!
This Sunday is going to be a bit of a challenge. I am having my fellow co-workers from the Coronet over for a friendly poker game/housewarming thing-y. Many of them are raging pot-heads, and are already pressuring me to break the detox for a night to smoke with them. I'm on the fence, and will debate this all weekend.
Also, I'm going to have to whip up some food for them all. Normally, I would eat as a cook, so I need to either make stuff that I can't eat and refrain from eating while cooking, or make healthy stuff for everybody... Hmm... Stay tuned. Maybe I'll make a turkey. It's healthy and pretty easy...
And finally, my dog broke away from me last night and chased a cat. I went running after them for about a block, and finally caught up with her. Between the panic of my dog running away and the run, I was happy to note that I wasn't out of breath the way I normally would be. That made me happy.
So, the facts:
Day 11 food:
Caesar salad with grilled chicken (3/4 order from Brite Spot)
Water
Tangerine
Water
Caesar salad with grilled chicken (full order from Roman's)
Unsweetened iced tea with a splash of lemonade
Water
Day 11 exercise: Nothing new, three long walks with the dog
Daily weight: 267 lbs. (down 20)
This weekend will be a smidge of a challenge. I have three days of open meals (no lunches purchased by C. Jay from the Brite Spot), so I'll have to make lots of choices. Something at poker Saturday night, (though Dommy who hosts said perhaps he'll choose Roman's so I can make an easier choice than a slice of pizza), the party on Sunday, etc. etc.
Thanks for reading!
