Day 35
I think yesterday was good. Perhaps not best for my diet, but I'm not going to beat myself up about it too much. Everybody should have a piece of birthday cake around their birthday, right?
I had my shake in the morning, had sushi (again) for lunch, then went to poker (I won $16!), and had a slice of pizza and a piece of birthday cake.
A couple of things about that. First off, the pizza was wildly disappointing. It was undercooked (I think), and the cheese sort of came off in one big clump. So, for what was supposed to be an indulgence, I wasn't impressed.
The cake, though, was beyond fabulous. While the vast majority of the credit for that goes to my friend who baked it, I have heard that once you begin to eat healthier, when you do eat something like that (a seven layer yellow cake with pudding and oreos and icing), you can actually taste it in such a way that you hadn't been able to before. So, I was able to taste the cake and it was amazing.
So, that was that. I had my birthday cake. I don't feel like I've fallen off the wagon, I don't feel too guilty. I feel good.
Also, yesterday, I did one of the yoga workouts that I got on DVD. This one was "Yoga for Dummies Weight-Burn Routine." It was pretty good. I actually broke a sweat. I don't feel particularly sore today as a result, so I don't think I gave myself a total body workout, but it wasn't bad. I'm going to try the other one I have later on today hopefully.
So, just the facts:
Day 34 food:
Shake (strawberry low-fat yougurt, banana, blueberries, ice, OJ)
Water
Spicy tuna roll (8 pcs.)
Avacado roll (6 pcs.)
Water
Pizza (one slice, Sicilian)
Birthday cake (yellow cake, pudding, oreo crumbs, icing)
Water
Day 34 exercise: Three walks plus 20-min. yoga
Daily weight: 254 lbs. (down 33)
So, today will be interesting too. I have plans to have a birthday brunch (I need to figure out eating breakfast out...), then dinner at a Japanese restaurant. I'll probably skip lunch.
Thanks for reading!
