Day 66

Once again, Tuesday proved to be a tough day for me. From mid-morning on, all I could think about was how cheating for a single day wouldn't do that much harm. It was tough and frustrating and maddening.

Breakfast was a banana and a breakfast bar. Lunch was a can of soup. Between lunch and dinner I stared longingly into my boss's refrigerator at all of the things I could have easily eaten. Instead, I ate some Quaker Quakes and grapes. I still wasn't satisfied. On the drive home, I stopped at Food 4 Less, a warehouse supermarket, to pick up some snacks for a play reading I'm going to, and was desperate to eat any of the wonderfully horrible foods surrounding me.

Finally, I contemplated not eating dinner, but I knew that would be the wrong move. I got home, went for a run (1 mile!), and then made some rice and salsa and cheese. Not much cheese, but a lot of rice and salsa. It was very filling, very good, and pretty high in calories. (I ended up eating 3 servings of rice (600 calories total), and an entire jar of salsa (13 servings at 10 calories each). Both fat free. I had less than 1 serving of cheese, though, which was 80 calories and 4 g. of fat. So not necessarily the worst thing for me, but pretty filling.

And I managed to not eat the rest of the night.

Damn you Tuesday. Why is it so tough to get through that particular day?

Anyway, now some facts:

Day 65 food:

Banana
Breakfast bar
Water
Chunky chicken gumbo (entire can)
Water
Grapes (about 20)
Quaker Quakes (2 servings)
Rice salsa and cheese (1 1/2 cups rice, jar of salsa, handful of cheese)
Water

Day 65 exercise: Three long walks plus 1 mile run

Daily weight: 239 (down 48)

Today should be a pretty quiet day. I'm feeling a bit stuffed up, but that's about it. Hopefully I won't have any of the struggles of yesterday.

Thanks for reading!
