Day 39

Another good day yesterday, though it looks like things will calm down a bit and I'll have my evenings free to do some yoga, get in a fourth walk, and struggle with what to have for dinner.

I had my shake as usual yesterday, a can of soup for lunch, and then... I had something fried for lunch. First time eating fried food in ages. Oh my god it was delicious.

I chose a New York steak for dinner with frites, which if I had stopped for a moment and thought about it, I would have realized that I was getting french fries. But frites sounds so glam, that I wasn't thinking.

Anyway, I struggled to not eat the entire mound of fries that came with the steak, and succeeded. I ate a couple of small pieces with each piece of meat, and left about half of them on the plate. I also left about 1/3 of the steak on the plate, and felt really good about that too. And skipping dessert was easy...

So, just the facts:

Day 38 food:

Shake (banana, blueberries, ice, OJ, strawberry low-fat yougurt)
Water
Grapes (small, red, seedless, about 25)
Water
Chunky chicken gumbo (entire can, 2 servings)
Water
Orange
Water
Shrimp cocktail (5 pcs.)
New York steak (2/3 of it)
Frites (okay, french fries) (about half of what was served)
Water

Day 38 exercise: Three long walks

Daily weight: 252 lbs. (down 35)


So today shouldn't be that bad. Will shake it momentarily, have either a salad or soup for lunch, and maybe grill up some chicken for dinner.

One problem!! I left my camera at work, so no pictures this morning. Maybe I'll try and get a couple of dressed pictures taken later on today.
